Unique
brewers’ yeast fibre products!
LeiberYeaFi® is a unique synergy of inactive brewers' yeast with high-fibre and dietary functional fibre. Brewers' yeast is rich in bioavailable active ingredients and nutrients such as proteins, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. The highly digestible fibre components reinforce the positive nutritional properties of brewers' yeast in an ideal way.
Brewers’ yeast and functional fibres from food by-products are not only in line with today’s sustainability trend, but have many dietary and prebiotic benefits!

Leiber YeaFi® – a unique combination of inactive brewers’ yeast with high-fibre and dietetically valuable functional fibre carriers such as spent grains (*1), or unmolassed beet pulp (*2).
40% brewers’ yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) bound to 60% spent grains convinces by the high content of crude fibre, crude fat, and crude protein and is suitable for all horses and ponies, especially for: warmblood horse (600kg) in acute stress situations, gestation, or lactation:
- older horses and ponies (seniors)
- horses and ponies with low stress levels
- during reconvalescence

Hint for sport horses:
The national and international (FEI) doping rules must be observed. Due to the natural hordenine content of brewer's yeast, its use in training is permitted, but should be discontinued 48 h before competition.

(*1) Spent grains are a nutrient-rich and valuable feed. Spent grains are rich in protein and fat, have dietary and prebiotic effects, are rich in crude fibre, increase palatability and thus the acceptance of brewers’ yeast. As long as beer has been brewed, farmers have appreciated the by-product, spent grains, as a high-quality feed and have successfully used it in animal feed, especially to support the digestion.
(*3) Beet pulp (unmolassed) is a by-product of sugar production. After the sugar beet has been de-sugared and crushed, its fibrous components remain. Due to their high crude fibre content (especially hemicelluloses), but also naturally high pectin content, they promote a healthy intestinal environment. In addition, beet pulp contains a high energy value. The sugar content is low, because (as mentioned) the sugar beet is "desugared" beforehand. We abstain from an addition of sugar beet molasses at a later stage. The beet pulp used by us in YeaFi® products is unmolassed.
